Indeed for those who disbelieve, neither their wealth nor their offspring will help to save them in the least from Allah; and it is they who are fuel for the fire. 10 After the wont of the people of Fir'awn and those before them. They belied Our signs, wherefore Allah laid hold of them for their sins. And Allah is Severe in chastising. 11 Say unto those who are bent on denying the truth: "You shall be overcome and gathered unto hell - and how evil a resting-place!" 12 Already there has been for you a sign in the two armies which met - one fighting in the cause of Allah and another of disbelievers. They saw them [to be] twice their [own] number by [their] eyesight. But Allah supports with His victory whom He wills. Indeed in that is a lesson for those of vision. 13 Fair in the eyes of men is the love of things they covet: Women and sons; Heaped-up hoards of gold and silver; horses branded (for blood and excellence); and (wealth of) cattle and well-tilled land. Such are the possessions of this world's life; but in nearness to Allah is the best of the goals (To return to). 14 ۞ Say thou! Shall I declare unto you that which is better than these? For those who fear Allah are Gardens with their Lord, thereunder rivers flow, wherein they shall be abiders, and spouses purified, and pleasure from Allah. And Allah is Beholder of His bondsmen 15 Those who say our Lord! verily we! we have believed, wherefore forgive us our sins, and protect us from the torment of the Fire. 16 those who are steadfast, truthful, obedient, and those who spend [for God's cause] and who pray before dawn for forgiveness." 17 God bears witness that there is no god but He -- and the angels, and men possessed of knowledge -- upholding justice; there is no god but He, the All-mighty, the All-wise. 18 Verily the religion with Allah is Islam. And those who were vouchsafed the Book differed not save after the knowledge had come unto them, out of spite among themselves. And whosoever disbelieveth in the revelations of Allah, then verily Allah is Swift at reckoning. 19 Even then if they argue, tell them: "I have bowed in submission to God, and so have my followers." And tell the people of the Book and the Arabs: "Do you submit?" If they do, they will find the right path; if they turn away, your duty is to deliver the message. And God keeps an eye on His votaries. 20
