۞ And when the example of the son of Maryam is given, your people laugh at it! 57 And they say, “Are our deities better or he?” They did not say this to you except to unjustly argue; in fact they are a quarrelsome people. 58 He was no more than a servant: We granted Our favour to him, and We made him an example to the Children of Israel. 59 If We had so willed We could have made some of you into angels to become your successors on earth. 60 It is knowledge of the Hour; doubt not concerning it, and follow me. This is a straight path. 61 Let satan not prevent you from the right path. He is your sworn enemy". 62 And when Jesus came with the clear signs he said, 'I have come to you with wisdom, and that I may make clear to you some of that whereon you are at variance; so fear you God and obey you me. 63 Assuredly God is my Lord and your Lord; therefore serve Him; this is a straight path.' 64 But certain groups created differences among themselves. Woe to the unjust. They will face a painful torment. 65 Do they only wait for the Hour that it shall come upon them suddenly, while they perceive not? 66 Close friends will turn into enemies of one another on that Day, except the pious. 67
