We saved the Children of Israel from their humiliating torment 30 From Pharaoh. Indeed, he was a haughty one among the transgressors. 31 And We exalted them over the other people knowingly, 32 And We gave them signs in which lay clear favours. 33 These people say, 34 "There is not but our first death, and we will not be resurrected. 35 So then, bring forth our forefathers [as witnesses,] if what you claim is true!" 36 Are they better or the people of Tubba' and those who were before them whom We destroyed? Indeed they were sinners. 37 We created not the heavens and earth, and all that between them is, in play; 38 We did not create them both but with the truth, but most of them do not know. 39 Surely the Day of Decision shall be their appointed time, all together, 40 The day when friend will help no friend in the least, nor will they be helped, 41 save those to whom God shows mercy. Surely, He is the Mighty, the Merciful One. 42
