The Dunes (Al-Ahqaaf)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
۞ Ha, Meem. 1 The Revelation of the Book is from Allah the Exalted in Power, Full of Wisdom. 2 We did not create the heavens and earth and what is between them except in truth and [for] a specified term. But those who disbelieve, from that of which they are warned, are turning away. 3 Say, [O Muhammad], "Have you considered that which you invoke besides Allah? Show me what they have created of the earth; or did they have partnership in [creation of] the heavens? Bring me a scripture [revealed] before this or a [remaining] trace of knowledge, if you should be truthful." 4 And who is in greater error than he who calls besides Allah upon those that will not answer him till the day of resurrection and they are heedless of their call? 5 And, when mankind are gathered, those will become their enemies and disown their worship. 6 And when Our clear communications are recited to them, those who disbelieve say with regard to the truth when it comes to them: This is clear magic. 7 Do they claim that the Messenger himself has fabricated it? (If so), tell them: “If I have fabricated it, then you have no power to protect me from Allah's chastisement. He knows well the idle talk in which you indulge. He suffices as a witness between me and you. He is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.” 8 Say: "I am not a new Messenger to come, nor do I know what is to be done to me or you. I only follow what is revealed to me. My duty is only to warn you clearly." 9 Say thou: bethink ye: if it is from Allah while ye disbelieve therein and a witness from the Children of Isra'il beareth witness to the like thereof and believeth, while ye are still stiff necked, then who is further astray than you? Verily Allah guideth not a wrong-doing people. 10
