We swear that We have created the human being and We know what his soul whispers to him. We are closer to him than even his jugular vein. 16 Since the two scribes are sitting on each of his shoulders, he does not utter a word which is not recorded immediately by the watchful scribes. 17 He does not utter a single word, without a ready recorder seated next to him. 18 And the stupor of death will come in truth: "This is what you have been avoiding!" 19 And the Trumpet will be blown, that will be the Day whereof warning (had been given) (i.e. the Day of Resurrection). 20 And every soul cometh, along with it a driver and a witness. 21 (He will be told), "You were completely heedless of this day. We have removed the veil from your eyes and your vision will now be sharp and strong". 22 His companion attendant will say, "I have here his record ready." 23 'Cast, you twain, into Gehenna every froward unbeliever, 24 who is an opponent of good, a suspicious transgressor 25 “The one who appointed another God along with Allah – so both of you fling him into the severe punishment.” 26 ۞ and his associate [Satan] will say, "Lord, I did not make him transgress, he had already gone far astray himself." 27 God will say, "Do not quarrel in My presence. I gave you the warning beforehand 28 The judgment passed by Me shall not be altered; but never do I do the least wrong unto My creatures!" 29
