The All Compassionate (Al-Rahman)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
۞ The Compassionate. 1 has imparted this Qur'an [unto man]. 2 He created the human being 3 and has taught him intelligible speech. 4 The sun and the moon are scheduled. 5 The stars and the trees prostrate themselves. 6 And the skies has He raised high, and has devised [for all things] a measure, 7 That ye should not trespass in respect of the balance. 8 And observe the weight with equity, and make not deficient the balance. 9 He set down the earth for the creation. 10 Therein are fruits and palm trees with sheaths, 11 grain with its husk and aromatic herbs. 12 Which then of the bounties of your Lord will you deny? 13 He has created man, from dry ringing clay, like the potter"s, 14 and has created the jinn from the flame of fire. 15 So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? 16 [He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets. 17 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 18 He has let free the two bodies of flowing water, meeting together: 19 Whereas there is a barrier between them so they cannot encroach upon one another. 20 (Jinn and mankind) - which of the favors of your Lord do you then deny? 21 Pearls and coral-stone come forth from them. 22 Which is it, of the favours of your Lord, that ye deny? 23 And His are the Ships sailing smoothly through the seas, lofty as mountains: 24 So O men and jinns! Which favour of your Lord will you deny? 25
