▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 - which is indeed a great oath if only you knew it - 76 Indeed, it is a noble Qur'an 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 Which none toucheth save the purified, 79 a sending down from the Lord of all Being. 80 Then why do you dissimulate this Revelation? 81 And you make its denial your share? 82 Why is it not then that when it (soul) comes up to the throat, 83 and that hour you are watching 84 And We are nearer to it than you, but you do not see-- 85 Then why, if you are not indebted (to Us for life), 86 can you not cause that [ebbing life] to return - if what you claim is true? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 Then breath of life, and plenty, and a Garden of delight. 89 And if he was of the companions of the right, 90 Then [the angels will say], "Peace for you; [you are] from the companions of the right." 91 And if he is from the deniers, the astray, – 92 The welcome will be boiling water 93 And roasting at hell-fire. 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 So celebrate with praises the name of thy Lord, the Supreme. 96
