▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ So I call the placement of the stars to witness -- 75 And this surely is great evidence if you can understand -- 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 In a Book well-guarded (with Allah in the heaven i.e. Al-Lauh Al-Mahfuz). 78 Which (that Book with Allah) none can touch but the purified (i.e. the angels). 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 What, do you hold this discourse in disdain, 81 and do you make it your living to cry lies? 82 Why, then, when [the last breath] comes up to the throat [of a dying man,] 83 the while you are helplessly watching that he is on the verge of death, 84 We are nearer to him than you, but you do not see 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 why are you then not able to bring them back to life if you are truthful? 87 Then, if he is one of the honoured, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if he be of the Companions of the Right Hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 If it is of those who have rejected the Truth and have gone astray, 92 For him is Entertainment with Boiling Water. 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 Indeed, this is the true certainty, 95 Wherefore hallow thou the name of thy Lord, the Mighty! 96
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
