▼ 56 The Inevitable
Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 And most surely it is a very great oath if you only knew; 76 That this is indeed a qur'an Most Honourable, 77 (Inscribed) in the well-kept Book. 78 which none but the pure [of heart] can touch: 79 It has been revealed by the Lord of all the worlds. 80 Do you then hold this announcement in contempt? 81 And make it your provision that ye should belie it? 82 Then why do you not (intervene) when (the soul of a dying person) reaches the throat? 83 And ye the while (sit) looking on,- 84 And Our angels are nearer to him than you, but you do not see - 85 why, then, if you are not subject to Our command, 86 do you not restore his soul, if you are truthful? 87 Thus, then, if he be of those Nearest to Allah, 88 it will have rest, happiness, and a beautiful Paradise. 89 And if he is one of those on the right hand, 90 'Peace be upon thee, Companion of the Right!' 91 And if he is one of those who give the lie (to this Message) and go astray, 92 Then an entertainment of boiling water. 93 and the heat of a blazing fire! 94 Most surely this is a certain truth. 95 So glorify with praises the Name of your Lord, the Most Great. 96
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
