So I swear by whatsoever you see, 38 and what you do not see 39 That it is indeed the speech of an illustrious messenger. 40 And it is not the speech of a poet; how little do you believe! 41 Nor is it the speech of a soothsayer; how little do you ponder! 42 (It is) a sending down from the Lord of all the Worlds. 43 Had he invented sayings against Us, 44 We surely had lain hold of him by the right hand. 45 And then severed his life-vein. 46 And not one of you could have withheld Us from him. 47 And most surely it is a reminder for those who guard (against evil). 48 And indeed, We know that among you are deniers. 49 And most surely it is a great grief to the unbelievers. 50 But verily it is Truth of assured certainty. 51 (Muhammad), glorify the name of your Lord, the Great One. 52
