Jinns (Al-Jinn)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Say thou: it hath been revealed unto me that a company of the jinn listened, and said, verily we have listened to a Recitation wondrous. 1 guiding to rectitude. We believe in it, and we will not associate with our Lord anyone. 2 ‘And that our Lord’s Majesty is Supreme – He has neither chosen a wife nor a child.’ 3 And that our foolish one has been saying about Allah an excessive transgression. 4 we never thought that either human or jinn would ever tell a lie against Allah!' 5 And that persons from among men used to seek refuge with persons from among jinn, so they increased them in wrongdoing: 6 ‘And that they assumed, like you humans assume, that Allah would not send any Noble Messenger.’ 7 And (the Jinn who had listened to the Qur'an said): We had sought the heaven but had found it filled with strong warders and meteors. 8 we used to take up a position to listen, but whoever listens now finds a flaming fire lying in wait for him -- 9 And we know not whether harm is boded unto all who are in the earth, or whether their Lord intendeth guidance for them. 10 As for us, some of us are righteous and others are not. We have all followed different ways. 11 Indeed, we thought that we should never be able to frustrate God in the earth, neither be able to frustrate Him by flight. 12 And when we heard the guidance, we believed therein, and whoso believeth in his Lord, he feareth neither loss nor oppression. 13 And there are among us some who have surrendered (to Allah) and there are among us some who are unjust. And whoso hath surrendered to Allah, such have taken the right path purposefully. 14 However, the deviators from the Truth will be the fuel for hell". 15 If they (the idolaters) tread the right path, We shall give them to drink of water in abundance 16 So that We might try them with respect to it; and whoever turns aside from the reminder of his Lord, He will make him enter into an afflicting chastisement: 17 Mosques belong to Allah, so do not call to anyone else, other than Allah. 18 And that when the servant of Allah stood up calling upon Him, they wellnigh crowded him (to death). 19
