The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the glorious morning light; 1 And by oath of the night when it covers, 2 (Muhammad), your Lord has not abandoned you (by not sending you His revelation), nor is He displeased with you. 3 and the Last shall be better for thee than the First. 4 And presently thy Lord shall give unto thee so that thou shalt be well-pleased. 5 Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 Did He not find you poor and suffice you? 8 Therefore do not oppress the orphan. 9 And do not rebuke the beggar. 10 and proclaim the bounties of your Lord. 11
