Al-Layl
The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the night, when it envelops, 1 and by the day when it unveils. 2 And Him who created the male and female, 3 Indeed your efforts differ. 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 observe piety, and believe in receiving rewards from God. 7 As for him who was a miser and behaved with aversion (to Allah), 8 And disbelieveth in goodness; 9 So We will very soon provide him hardship. 10 And what will his wealth benefit him when he goes down (in destruction). 11 Surely, in Our hands is guidance, 12 And most surely Ours is the hereafter and the former. 13 I have now warned you of the Blazing Fire, 14 none shall enter it but the most wicked, 15 Who denies and turns away. 16 The pious ones will be safe from this fire 17 Those who spend their wealth for increase in self-purification, 18 And not [giving] for anyone who has [done him] a favor to be rewarded 19 but only to seek the good pleasure of his Lord Most High. 20 And presently he shall become well pleased. 21
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
