Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
