Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 The living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
