Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
When the sun Kuwwirat (wound round and lost its light and is overthrown). 1 And when the stars darken, 2 when the mountains shall be set in motion, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 And when the wild beasts are gathered 5 and when the seas boil over, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And the little girl buried alive is asked 8 For what crime she was put to death; 9 And when the books are spread, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when hell is lighted, 12 And when the Garden is brought near;- 13 then shall each person know what he has brought along. 14 So I swear by the retreating stars - 15 the runners, the sinkers, 16 and by the night as it recedes, 17 And by the dawn when it breathes 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 Obeyed one; then trustworthy. 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 Neither doth he withhold grudgingly a knowledge of the Unseen. 24 And the Qur'an is not the word of a devil, expelled [from the heavens]. 25 Where to are you then heading? 26 It is naught but a Reminder unto all beings, 27 For him among you who pleases to go straight. 28 But ye shall not will except as Allah wills,- the Cherisher of the Worlds. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
