Shattering (Al-Infitaar)
19 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat) before The Splitting (Al-Inshiqaaq)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
۞ When the heaven splits open. 1 And when the stars fall down. 2 And when the seas are erupted 3 And the sepulchres are overturned, 4 A soul will know what it hath sent before (it) and what left behind. 5 O human! What has deceived you concerning your Generous Lord 6 Who created you, then made you complete, then made you symmetrical? 7 He moulded you into whatever shape He willed. 8 No indeed; but you cry lies to the Doom; 9 yet there are over you watchers 10 Generous and recording, 11 Knowing all what you may do. 12 Verily the pious shall be in Delight. 13 whereas the wicked will be in Hell; 14 They will enter it on the Day of Justice. 15 and from which they will find no escape. 16 And what will explain to thee what the Day of Judgment is? 17 And once again: What could make thee conceive what that Judgment Day will be? 18 It is the Day when no one shall have the power to do anything for another, and all command shall be Allah's. 19
