The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the heaven, and the night-visitor, 1 And what could make thee conceive what it is that comes in the night? 2 It is the shining star -- 3 No human soul but hath a guardian over it. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Surely, He is Able to bring him back, 8 The Day when secrets will be put on trial, 9 Then will he have no might nor any helper. 10 By the heaven with its recurring cycle of rain, 11 And by the earth which splitteth, 12 That this (Qur'an) is a decisive word 13 It is no pleasantry. 14 They are cunningly devising, 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 So bear with unbelievers with patience, and give them respite for a while. 17
Almighty Allah's Truth.
