The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 - Ah, what will tell thee what the Morning Star is! 2 - The piercing Star! 3 [for] no human being has been left unguarded. 4 So let man consider of what he is created: 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 Lo! He verily is Able to return him (unto life) 8 On the Day when man's deepest secrets shall be put to the test 9 Then he shall have no power nor any helper. 10 By heaven of the returning rain, 11 And the earth which splitteth (with the growth of trees and plants) 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 It is not a thing for amusement. 14 Verily, they are but plotting a plot (against you O Muhammad (Peace be upon him)). 15 And I am planning a scheme. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
