The Night (Al-Layl)
21 verses, revealed in Mecca after The All High (Al-A'alaa) before Dawn (Al-Fajr)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the night when it enshrouds, 1 And the day when it shines in all its glory, 2 And [by] He who created the male and female, 3 Verily your endeavour is diverse. 4 Thus, as for him who gives [to others] and is conscious of God, 5 and believes in the truth of what is right, 6 We will pave his way to ease. 7 And as for him who is niggardly and considers himself free from need (of Allah), 8 And denies the best [reward], 9 We will ease him toward difficulty. 10 His riches will not save him when he perisheth. 11 Surely it is for Us to show the Right Way, 12 And indeed the Hereafter and this world both belong to Us. 13 Therefore I have warned you of a Fire blazing fiercely (Hell); 14 in which no one will suffer forever except the wicked ones 15 The one who denied and turned away. 16 and from which the cautious shall be distanced. 17 even he who gives his wealth. to purify himself 18 not as payment for favours received, 19 acting only for the sake of his Lord the Most High -- 20 Will surely be gratified. 21
Almighty Allah's Truth.
