The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the racers, panting, 1 Striking sparks of fire 2 And push home the charge in the morning, 3 blazing a trail of dust, 4 thereby storming [blindly] into any host! 5 Lo! man is an ingrate unto his Lord 6 and to this, behold, he [himself] bears witness indeed: 7 And lo! in the love of wealth he is violent. 8 ۞ Knows he not that when that which is in the tombs is over-thrown, 9 and the secrets of the hearts are laid bare (and examined)? 10 On that day their Lord surely knows all about them! 11
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
