The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
۞ Triumphant indeed are the believers, 1 who in their prayers are humble 2 And who shun vain conversation, 3 And who pay the (obligatory) charity. 4 those who safeguard their chastity 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 And those who fulfil their trusts and keep their promises; 8 And those who are watchful of their acts of prayer. 9 These will be the heirs, 10 Who will inherit Paradise, and live in it for ever. 11 And certainly We created man of an extract of clay, 12 Then We placed him as a sperm-drop in a firm lodging. 13 Then We created of the drop, a clot (of congealed blood) and We created the clot into bitesize tissue, then We created the bitesize tissue into bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then produced it an other creation. Blessed is Allah, the Best of creators! 14 Then after that, certainly all of you are to die. 15 Then will be raised up on the Day of Resurrection. 16 We have created seven ways above you; of Our creation, We are never inattentive. 17 And We sent down out of heaven water in measure and lodged it in the earth; and We are able to take it away. 18 We have established for you gardens of palm trees and vineyards with this water with many fruits for you to consume. 19 And also a tree that springeth forth from mount Sinai, that groweth oil and is a sauce for the eaters. 20 And verily in the cattle for you is a lesson. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and for you in them are advantages many, and of them ye eat. 21 You are carried by the animals on land and by the ships in the sea. 22
