Al-Waaqe'ah 3 of 3
۞ Nay, I swear by the places of the stars - 75 and, behold, this is indeed a most solemn affirmation, if you but knew it! 76 Most surely it is an honored Quran, 77 In Book well-guarded, 78 Only they can reach it who are clean (of mind). 79 a revelation from the Lord of the Universe. 80 Is it this Statement that ye scorn, 81 do you make it your provision to belie it? 82 Why can you not help a soul dying 83 right before your very eyes? 84 And We are nigher unto him than ye are, but ye behold not 85 why, then, if [you think that] you are not truly dependent [on Us,] 86 do you not cause the soul to return to him if you are truthful in your claim? 87 But if he [the dying person] is one of those brought near to God, 88 then happiness and delight and Gardens of Bliss are his. 89 And if he be of the fellows on the right hand, 90 Then peace to you from those on the right hand. 91 And if he be of the beliers, the erring, 92 a welcome of burning despair [awaits him in the life to come,] 93 And burning in hell. 94 Verily, this is indeed the truth of truths! 95 Then praise your Lord, the most supreme. 96

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
