The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
WHEN THE SUN is shrouded in darkness, 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 And when the mountains are removed 3 the young barren camels are abandoned, 4 when the savage beasts are gathered 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 And when the souls he paired, 7 and when the girl-child buried alive shall be asked: 8 for what crime she had been slain, 9 when the scrolls are unrolled, 10 And when the sky is torn away, 11 and Hell is stoked, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 then, each soul shall know what it has produced. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 The planets withdrawing into themselves, 16 The closing night, 17 And by the dawn as it brightens; 18 Verily this is the word of a noble message-bearer; 19 Full of power, well-established (in position) with the Lord and Master of the Throne, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 (O people of Makkah), your companion is not mad; 22 He had surely seen Him on the clear horizon. 23 and he is not one to begrudge others the knowledge [of whatever has been revealed to him] out of that which is beyond the reach of human Perception. 24 Nor is it the word of the cursed Shaitan, 25 Where then are you going? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 For whoever wills among you to take a right course. 28 And ye shall not will unless it be that Allah, the Lord of the worlds, willeth. 29
God the Almighty always says the truth.
