Have you not seen how your Lord lengthens the shadows? Had He pleased, He could have made them constant; then We placed the sun as an indicator for them, 45 thereafter We seize it to Us withdrawing it gently. 46 And it is He Who makes the night a covering for you, and the sleep (as) repose, and makes the day Nushur (i.e. getting up and going about here and there for daily work, etc. after one's sleep at night or like resurrection after one's death). 47 It is He who sends the winds as heralds of His mercy and We send down pure water from the sky, 48 so that We may bring life to a dead land; and slake the thirst of Our creation; cattle and men, in great numbers. 49 And We distribute it among them in various ways that they may ponder and reflect; yet most men disdain everything but denial and thanklessness. 50 Had We willed, We would have raised up a separate Warner in each habitation. 51 So obey not the disbelievers, but strive against them (by preaching) with the utmost endeavour, with it (the Quran). 52 ۞ AND HE it is who has given freedom of movement to the two great bodies of water - the one sweet and thirst-allaying, and the other salty and bitter - and yet has wrought between them a barrier and a forbidding ban. 53 And He it is Who has created man from the water, then He has made for him blood relationship and marriage relationship, and your Lord is powerful. 54 Yet they (the unbelievers) worship, other than Allah, that which can neither benefit nor harm them. Surely, the unbeliever is ever a partisan against his Lord. 55 But thee We only sent to give glad tidings and admonition. 56 Say: 'I demand of you no wage for this except for he who wishes to take the Path to his Lord' 57 O Muhammad trust in that Allah Who is Ever-Living and will never die' Glorify Him with His praise, for He alone is sufficient to be aware of the sins of His servants. 58 Who created the heavens and the earth and all that is between them in six Days, then He mounted the Throne. The Beneficent! Ask anyone informed concerning Him! 59 When it is said to them. "Prostrate yourselves before the Merciful," they retort, "What is the Merciful? Would you have us prostrate ourselves before whomsoever you will?" And this invitation only helps to increase their hatred all the more. ۩ 60
