Al-Taareq

The Comet (Al-Taareq)

17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

By the Sky and the Night-Visitant (therein);- 1 And what can make you know what is the night comer? 2 (It is) the star of piercing brightness; 3 There is no living being but there is a protector over it. 4 So let man see from what he is created! 5 He has been created from an ejected drop of fluid 6 Coming from between the back and the ribs. 7 Surely He is able to bring him back 8 On the Day when secrets are disclosed, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 I swear by the raingiving heavens, 11 And by oath of the earth which flourishes with it. 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And no trifle. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 And I am plotting a plot. 16 So grant the unbelievers a respite: let them alone for a while. 17
