Moses said: "O my Lord, enlarge my breast, 25 And make my mission easy. 26 And loose a knot from my tongue. 27 so that they may understand me. 28 And give me as assistant from my family 29 Aaron, my brother; 30 Strengthen by him my back. 31 and let him share my task, 32 That we may sing Your praises much, 33 and may remember You much. 34 Lo! Thou art ever Seeing us. 35 He answered: "Granted is your prayer, O Moses. 36 Already another time We favoured thee, 37 When We inspired unto thy mother that which We inspired, 38 "'Put him into a chest, then cast it into the river. The river will cast it on to the bank, and there he shall be taken up by an enemy of Mine and his.' I showered My love on you so that you might be reared under My watchful eye. 39 Recall when your sister walked along and said, "Shall I guide you to one who will take care of him?" Thus We returned you to your mother, so that her eyes might be cooled and that she might not grieve. And you killed a man and We delivered you from sorrow. We tested you with various trials. You stayed for a number of years among the people of Midian, then you came upto the standard, Moses. 40 "And I have Istana'tuka, for Myself. 41 “You and your brother, both go with My signs, and do not slacken in My remembrance.” 42 Go, both of you, unto Pharaoh. Lo! he hath transgressed (the bounds). 43 "But speak to him mildly; perchance he may take warning or fear (Allah)." 44 The twain said: O our Lord! verily we fear that he may hasten against us or wax exorbitant. 45 He replied: 'Have no fear I shall be with you, both hearing and seeing. 46 So go ye unto him and say: Lo! we are two messengers of thy Lord. So let the children of Israel go with us, and torment them not. We bring thee a token from thy Lord. And peace will be for him who followeth right guidance. 47 It is revealed to us that a punishment will fall on those who belie and turn away." 48 (When this message was delivered), (Pharaoh) said: "Who, then, O Moses, is the Lord of you two?" 49 He said, “Our Lord is One Who gave everything its proper shape, then showed the path.” 50 He (Pharaoh) asked: 'How was it then, with the former generations' 51 He (Moses) answered: 'The knowledge of them is in a Book with My Lord. My Lord neither goes astray, nor forgets. 52 The One Who has made the earth a bed for you and kept operative roads for you in it and sent down water from the sky; so with it We produced different pairs of vegetation. 53 Eat, [then, of this produce of the soil,] and pasture your cattle [thereon]. In all this, behold, there are messages indeed for those who are endowed with reason: 54
