The people of Lot denied the messengers 160 When their brother Lot said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? 161 I am a trustworthy messenger to you: 162 so fear God and obey me. 163 "No reward do I ask of you for it (my Message of Islamic Monotheism), my reward is only from the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 164 What! do you come to the males from among the creatures 165 and leave your wives whom your Lord has created for you? No, but you are a transgressing nation' 166 They said: "O Lot! If you do not desist, you will be one of those expelled (from our towns)." 167 (Lot) said: "I am disgusted with your actions," 168 "My Lord! Save me and my family from what they do." 169 Thereupon We saved him and all his household 170 except for an old woman who stayed behind, 171 and then We utterly destroyed the others, 172 And rained on them a shower (of Stones). How terrible was the rain (that fell) on those who had been warned! 173 Verily in this is a Sign: but most of them do not believe. 174 And verily thy Lord! He is the Mighty, the Merciful. 175
