Indeed We created man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud. 26 And the jinn We created before, of intensely hot fire. 27 And recall when your Lord said to the angels, “I will create man from sounding clay made out of black smelly mud.” 28 And when I have fashioned him and breathed into him of My spirit, bow before him in homage;" 29 So the angels prostrated themselves, all of them together: 30 Except Iblees, he refused to be with those who prostrated. 31 [Allah] said, O Iblees, what is [the matter] with you that you are not with those who prostrate?" 32 He said it was not for me that I should prostrate myself unto a human being whom Thou hast created from ringing clay of loam moulded. 33 Said He, 'Then go thou forth hence; thou art accursed. 34 and [My] rejection shall be thy due until the Day of Judgment!" 35 He said: My Lord! then respite me till the time when they are raised. 36 Said He, 'Thou art among the ones that are respited 37 “Till the Day of a well-known time.” 38 (Iblis) said: "O my Lord! because Thou hast put me in the wrong, I will make (wrong) fair-seeming to them on the earth, and I will put them all in the wrong,- 39 [all] save such of them as are truly Thy servants!" 40 Said He, 'This is for Me a straight path: 41 "Certainly, you shall have no authority over My slaves, except those who follow you of the Ghawin (Mushrikun and those who go astray, criminals, polytheists, and evil-doers, etc.). 42 And indeed hell is the promise for all of them. 43 It has seven gates, and through each gate a portion of them belong. 44
