Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Blessed be He in Whose hands is Dominion; and He over all things hath Power;- 1 Who hath created death and life that He might prove you, as to which of you is excellent in work. And He is the Mighty, the Forgiver. 2 He Who created the seven heavens one above another: No want of proportion wilt thou see in the Creation of (Allah) Most Gracious. So turn thy vision again: seest thou any flaw? 3 Turn your eyes again and again. Your gaze turns back dazed and tired. 4 And indeed We have adorned the nearest heaven with lamps, and We have made such lamps (as) missiles to drive away the Shayatin (devils), and have prepared for them the torment of the blazing Fire. 5 The chastisement of Hell awaits those who disbelieve in their Lord. What a wretched destination! 6 When they will be cast into it, they will hear it roar as it boils, 7 It almost bursts up with fury. Every time a group is cast therein, its keeper will ask: "Did no warner come to you?" 8 They will say," Yes, a warner had come to us, but we denied and said, 'Allah has not sent down anything. You are not but in great error.'" 9 They will say: "If we had listened and been wise, we would not have been among the inmates of Hell." 10 So they shall confess their sin. Far away they be, the fellows of the Blaze! 11 For those who fear their Lord in secret is forgiveness and a great reward. 12 And keep your opinion secret or proclaim it, lo! He is Knower of all that is in the breasts (of men). 13 Can He who has created not know (His creation)? He is all-penetrating, all-aware. 14
