Kneeling (Al-Jaatheyah)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Ha-Mim. 1 The sending down of the Book is from Allah, the Almighty, the Wise. 2 Verily in the heavens and the earth, are Signs for those who believe. 3 And in the creation of yourselves and of the beasts that He hath scattered over the earth, are signs unto a people who are convinced. 4 As there are signs in the alternation of night and day, and in rain that God sends with which He revives the earth once dead, as there are in the changing of the winds, for people who can understand. 5 These are the communications of Allah which We recite to you with truth; then in what announcement would they believe after Allah and His communications? 6 Woe unto every liar, sinner! 7 Who hears the revelations of God being recited to him, yet persists in denying with arrogance as though he had never heard them! So warn him of a painful punishment. 8 And when he learns something of Our Signs, he takes them in jest: for such there will be a humiliating Penalty. 9 Hell is ahead of them; and all that they may have gained [in this world] shall be of no avail whatever to them, and neither shall any of those things which, instead of God, they have come to regard as their protectors: for, awesome suffering awaits them. 10 This is (true) Guidance and for those who reject the Signs of their Lord, is a grievous Penalty of abomination. 11
