Observedest thou him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, grudgingly? 34 Does he have knowledge of the unseen, so he sees? 35 Has he not heard what is contained in the Book of Moses, 36 And of Ibrahim, who was most obedient? 37 That no one who carries a burden bears another's load; 38 And that man will not obtain anything except what he strove for? 39 And that his endeavour shall be presently observed. 40 And afterward he will be repaid for it with fullest payment; 41 and that the final return is to your Lord, 42 And that it is He who makes [one] laugh and weep 43 It is He who causes death and gives life. 44 That He did create in pairs,- male and female, 45 From a drop of semen when emitted; 46 and that upon Him rests the second growth, 47 That it is He who makes you rich and contented; 48 And that He is the Lord of the Sirius; 49 that He it is Who destroyed the ancient 'Ad, 50 And (the tribe of) Thamud He spared not; 51 and that He it is Who destroyed the people of Noah before for they were much given to iniquity and transgression. 52 And He brought perdition upon the subverted cities 53 So that there covered them that which did cover. 54 About which of the bounties of your Lord can they persistently dispute? 55 This is a (Prophet) like that of the ancient warners (Prophets). 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 No (soul) but Allah can lay it bare. 58 Do you then wonder at this recital (the Quran)? 59 And you laugh and do not weep 60 indulging in carelessly idle games? 61 Bow instead in adoration before God and worship Him. ۩ 62
