The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In outstretched columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
