The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
When the sun is covered, 1 And when the stars shall fall; 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 and when she-camels big with young, about to give birth, are left untended, 4 When the wild beasts are herded together (in the human habitations); 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls shall be coupled, 7 And when the girl-child who was buried alive is asked. 8 For what sin she was killed, 9 the records of deeds are made public, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 And when hell is further enflamed. 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 A soul will [then] know what it has brought [with it]. 14 I swear by the receding stars. 15 The stars which rise and set, 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and brightening morning, 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 Owner of power, and high rank with (Allah) the Lord of the Throne, 20 [the word] of one to be heeded, and worthy of trust! 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 he is not niggardly of the Unseen. 24 nor is it a word of an accursed Satan. 25 Whither then go ye? 26 This is a reminder for all the peoples of the world, 27 Unto whomsoever of you willeth to walk straight. 28 but will you shall not, unless God wills, the Lord of all Being. 29
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
