Al-Takweer
The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
29 verses, revealed in Mecca after Thorns (Al-Masad) before The All High (Al-A'alaa)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
When the sun (with its spacious light) is folded up; 1 and when the stars lose their light, 2 and when the mountains are moved, 3 And when the pregnant she-camels shall be neglected; 4 when the savage beasts shall be brought together, 5 When the oceans surge and swell, 6 when the souls are coupled (to their body), 7 And when the girl-child that was buried alive is asked 8 For what sin she was slain, 9 And when the pages are laid open, 10 when heaven is stripped, 11 When Hell is set ablaze, 12 And when the Garden is brought nigh, 13 Then every soul shall know that which it hath presented. 14 So verily I call to witness the planets - that recede, 15 Those that run [their courses] and disappear - 16 and the night as it darkly falls, 17 and the first breath of morning. 18 that the Quran is the word of the honorable angelic, mighty Messenger 19 The processor of strength, having an honorable place with the Lord of the Dominion, 20 (One) to be obeyed, and trustworthy; 21 And your comrade is not mad. 22 He certainly saw him (Gabriel) high up on the horizon in his original form 23 And he is not avid of the Unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 Then where are you going? 26 This [message] is no less than a reminder to all mankind 27 for everyone of you who wishes to follow the Straight Way; 28 And you do not will except that Allah wills - Lord of the worlds. 29
