Overwhelming (Al-Ghaasheyah)
26 verses, revealed in Mecca after Drivers of the Winds (Al-Dhaareyaat) before The Cave (Al-Kahf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Has there come to you the narration of the overwhelming (i.e. the Day of Resurrection); 1 Faces on that day humbled, 2 Toiling, weary, 3 about to enter a glowing fire, 4 that is fueled from a tremendously hot fountain, 5 No food will there be for them but a bitter Dhari' 6 which will neither fatten them nor satisfy them. 7 Some faces on that Day will be radiant, 8 well pleased with their striving, 9 They will live in an exalted garden 10 Where they hear no idle speech, 11 therein a running fountain, 12 Therein will be thrones raised high, 13 Goblets set, 14 And cushions lined up 15 and carpets spread out. 16 Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created? 17 And the heaven – how it has been raised? 18 And the mountains: how they were fixed? 19 And at the earth, how it is spread out? 20 Admonish thou then; thou art but an admonisher. 21 Thou art not at all a warder over them. 22 But whosoever will turn back and disbelieve 23 Him Allah shall torment with the greatest torment. 24 For to Us will be their return; 25 Ours is surely then to reckon with them. 26

كيف تعمل منظومة تمارين الحفظ؟ عند أدنى مستوى 0، تكون كل الكلمات ظاهرة. بينما يُخفي أعلى مستوى 9 كل الكلمات. فكيف تعمل المستويات المتوسطة، مثل 3، على سبيل المثال؟ قد تعتقد بأن المنظومة تخفي 3 من كل تسع كلمات بدقة. ليس تماما! في المستوى 3، لكل كلمة فرصة اختفاء بنسبة 3 من 9، و6 من 9 لتكون ظاهرة. بمعنى آخر، من الممكن، ولكن باحتمال شبة معدوم، أن تكون جميع كلمات المستوى 3 مخفية، أو أن تكون جميعها ظاهرة! وكذلك أيضًا، ففي المستويات المتوسطة، وبما يتناسب مع مستوى الصعوبة، يمكن أن تكون المخابئ غير كاملة أو شفافة جزئيًا بحيث تظهر الكلمات جزئيًا تحتها.
How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
