The Hidden Secret (Al-Muddath-thir)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
O the Cloaked One! (Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) 1 Arise, and warn, 2 Thy Lord magnify, 3 purify your garments; 4 stay away from sins 5 And do not confer favor to acquire more 6 And persevere in the way of your Lord. 7 For when the trumpet blows 8 That shall be - that Day - a day hard. 9 Not easy upon the disbelievers. 10 Leave Me with the one I created alone 11 and appointed for him ample wealth 12 And sons always present by his side, 13 And spread [everything] before him, easing [his life]. 14 and who still greedily desires that I should bestow upon him more. 15 No! Indeed, he has been toward Our verses obstinate. 16 I will constrain him to a hard ascent. 17 For he thought and he plotted -- 18 And woe to him! How he plotted!- 19 Then may he be destroyed [for] how he deliberated. 20 Then he looked round; 21 Then he frowned and he scowled; 22 Then turned he away in pride 23 and said: 'This is no more than traced sorcery; 24 Naught is this but the word of Man. 25 Soon I will cast him into hell. 26 And what can make you know what is Saqar? 27 It neither spares, nor releases, 28 It glows and burns the skin. 29 and it has nineteen angelic keepers. 30 We have appointed none but angels to guard the Fire, and made their number only as a trial for the unbelievers, so that those to whom the Book was given are certain and those who believe increase in belief. And that those who were given the Book, and those who believe will not be in doubt. And that those in whose hearts there is a sickness, together with the unbelievers, may say: 'What did Allah intend by this as an example' As such, Allah leaves in error whom He will and He guides whomsoever He will. None knows the hosts of your Lord except He. This is no more than a Reminder to humans. 31
