The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the sky and the night comer - 1 And what will explain to thee what the Night-Visitant is?- 2 The very brightly shining star! 3 There is no soul but has a protector over it. 4 Let man reflect on what he was created from. 5 He was created from ejaculated water 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 upon the day when the secrets are tried, 9 He shall have neither strength nor helper. 10 By the sky (having rain clouds) which gives rain, again and again. 11 And [by] the earth which cracks open, 12 Behold this is the Word that distinguishes (Good from Evil): 13 And it is not amusement. 14 They are devising a guile, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 So give a respite to the disbelievers. Deal you gently with them for a while. 17
Almighty God's Truth.
