Therefor warn (men, O Muhammad). By the grace of Allah thou art neither soothsayer nor madman. 29 Or say they: (he is) a poet, (one) for whom we may expect the accident of time? 30 Tell them: “Wait; I too am waiting with you.” 31 Is this what their senses tell them, or are they a rebellious people? 32 Or do they say: He has forged it. Nay! they do not believe. 33 So let them bring a single discourse like it, if they are truthful. 34 Have they not been created from some source, or are they themselves the creators? 35 Or did they create the heavens and earth? Nay, but they have not sure faith. 36 Or are the Treasures of thy Lord with them, or are they the managers (of affairs)? 37 Or have they a ladder whereon they listen? Then let any of them that has listened bring a clear authority. 38 Or does Allah have daughters whereas you have sons? 39 Or do you (O dear Prophet Mohammed – peace and blessings be upon him) ask any fee from them, so they are burdened with the penalty? 40 Or do they have knowledge of the Unknown which they write down? 41 Or seek they to ensnare (the messenger)? But those who disbelieve, they are the ensnared! 42 Or have they a god, other than God? Glory be to God, above that which they associate! 43 Even if they were to see a part of the heavens falling down upon them, they would say, "It is only dense cloud". 44 Then let them be (O Muhammad), till they meet their day, in which they will be thunder-stricken, 45 A Day whereon their plotting will avail them not at all, nor will they be succoured. 46 And verily for those who do wrong there is a torment before that; but most of them know not. 47 And be thou patient under the judgment of thy Lord; surely thou art before Our eyes. And proclaim the praise of thy Lord when thou arisest, 48 And in the night, give Him glory too, and at the setting of the stars. 49
