The Rolling (Al-Takweer)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
When the sun shall be folded up, 1 When the stars fall, losing their lustre; 2 when the mountains shall be set moving, 3 when the pregnant camels shall be neglected, 4 And when the wild beasts shall be gathered together, 5 And when the seas shall be filled, 6 And when souls are united, 7 When the female (infant), buried alive, is questioned - 8 for what sin she was slain, 9 And when the written pages of deeds (good and bad) of every person shall be laid open; 10 when heaven shall be stripped off; 11 When the Blazing Fire is kindled to fierce heat; 12 And when the Garden shall be brought nigh, 13 (Then) every person will know what he has brought (of good and evil). 14 I do not need to swear by the orbiting 15 that hide, 16 by the night when it approaches 17 And by oath of the morning when it takes birth. 18 Verily this is the word of a most honourable Messenger, 19 with strength endowed, secure with Him who in almightiness is enthroned 20 there he is obeyed and held trustworthy. 21 Nor is your companion distracted. 22 And of a truth he saw himself on the clear horizon. 23 And he (Muhammad (Peace be upon him)) withholds not a knowledge of the unseen. 24 Nor is this [message] the word of any satanic force accursed. 25 where then are you going? 26 This is merely a reminder to all mankind; 27 to everyone of you who wills to walk a straight way. 28 And you will not, unless (it be) that Allah wills, the Lord of the 'Alamin (mankind, jinns and all that exists). 29
