Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 As justification or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed time? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 The living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
