The Arrangers (Al-Saaffaat)
182 verses, revealed in Mecca after Animals (Al-An 'aam) before Luqmaan (Luqmaan)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I swear by (the angels) who stand in ranks, 1 By the angels driving away. 2 And those who recite the Reminder, 3 Verily your God is One, 4 the Sustainer of the heavens and the earth and of all that is between them, and the Sustainer of all the points of sunrise! 5 We have decked the lower heavens with stars 6 and have protected it from every rebellious satan. 7 These satans cannot listen to what transpires in the High Council for they are pelted away from every side 8 And kept far away. There is perpetual punishment for them, 9 Some of them who stealthily steal words from the heavens are pursued by a glistening flame. 10 Then ask them (O Muhammad): Are they stronger as a creation, or those (others) whom we have created? Lo! We created them of plastic clay. 11 Nay, thou marvellest; and they scoff 12 And they do not understand, when explained to. 13 and when they see a miracle, they mock 14 And they say: This is nothing but clear magic: 15 Why - after we have died and become mere dust and bones, shall we, forsooth, be raised from the dead? 16 "And also our fathers of old?" 17 Say: "Yea, indeed - and most abject will you then be!" 18 So it shall only be a single cry, when lo! they shall see. 19 They will say, "Woe to us!" (They will be told), "This is the day of receiving recompense". 20 This is the day of the judgment which you called a lie. 21

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
