The Believers (Al-Mu' minoon)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
۞ Successful indeed are the believers 1 Those who humble themselves in their prayers; 2 And they who turn away from ill speech 3 and at almsgiving are active 4 And those who of their private parts are guards. 5 Except from their wives or the legal bondwomen that they possess, for then there is no blame upon them. 6 Those who seek beyond that are transgressors. 7 those who are true to their trust, 8 and those who observe their prayers. 9 These are the real gainers, 10 Those who will get the inheritance of Paradise; they will abide in it forever. 11 And certainly did We create man from an extract of clay. 12 Then placed him as a drop (of seed) in a safe lodging; 13 Then We made the Nutfah into a clot (a piece of thick coagulated blood), then We made the clot into a little lump of flesh, then We made out of that little lump of flesh bones, then We clothed the bones with flesh, and then We brought it forth as another creation. So blessed be Allah, the Best of creators. 14 Then verily, thereafter, ye are sure to die. 15 and then on the Day of Resurrection you shall certainly be raised up. 16 And We have created above you seven paths, and We are never unmindful of creation. 17 And we send down from the sky water in measure, and We give it lodging in the earth, and lo! We are Able to withdraw it. 18 And We brought forth for you thereby gardens of palm trees and grapevines in which for you are abundant fruits and from which you eat. 19 And a tree that grows out of Mount Sinai which produces oil and a condiment for those who eat. 20 And lo! in the cattle there is verily a lesson for you. We give you to drink of that which is in their bellies, and many uses have ye in them, and of them do ye eat; 21 And on them, as well as in ships, ye ride. 22
