The Forenoon (Al-Duhaa)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after Dawn (Al-Fajr) before Cooling the Temper (Al-Sharrhh)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the morning brightness 1 And the night when it covers with darkness. 2 (O Prophet), your Lord has neither forsaken you, nor is He displeased. 3 And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present. 4 And indeed your Lord will soon give you so much that you will be pleased. (Allah seeks to please the Holy Prophet – peace and blessings be upon him.) 5 Did He not find you an orphan, so provided you shelter? 6 Did He not find you perplexed, and show you the way? 7 And did He not find you in want, and then enriched you? 8 Do not oppress the orphans 9 Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard); 10 But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim! 11
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
