Al-Najm 3 of 3
So did you observe him who turned away? 33 and gives a little, and then grudgingly? 34 Does he possess the knowledge of the Unseen, and therefore he sees? 35 Has he not been made acquainted with what was written in the scriptures of Moses? 36 And [of] Abraham, who fulfilled [his obligations] - 37 That no burdened soul bears another soul’s burden? 38 And that there is not for man except that [good] for which he strives 39 and that his work is surely seen 40 Thereafter he shall be recompensed therefor with the fullest recompense. 41 And that to your Lord (Allah) is the End (Return of everything). 42 And that it is He (Allah) Who makes (whom He wills) laugh, and makes (whom He wills) weep; 43 And that it is He Who causeth to die and causeth to live. 44 And that He creates the two mates - the male and female - 45 from a discharged living germ 46 And that only upon Him is the next revival? 47 And that He it is Who enricheth and contenteth; 48 that He is the Lord of Sirius. 49 And that He destroyed the first [people of] 'Aad 50 And Thamud, and did not leave them, 51 And the folk of Noah aforetime, Lo! they were more unjust and more rebellious; 52 He plunged the villages 53 Then covered them with that which covered them. 54 So O listener! Which favour of your Lord will you doubt? 55 This is a warning among the warnings of yore. 56 There hath approached the approaching Hour. 57 No one besides God can rescue a soul from hardship. 58 Do you then wonder at this announcement? 59 and do you laugh, and do you not weep, 60 and divert yourselves all the while? 61 Prostrate yourselves before God, and worship Him alone! ۩ 62
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
