Kingship (Al-Mulk)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
۞ Blessed is He in Whose Hand is the dominion of the Universe, and Who has power over everything; 1 Who created death and life that He may try you-- which of you is best in deeds; and He is the Mighty, the Forgiving, 2 Who created the seven heavens one above another; you see no incongruity in the creation of the Beneficent Allah; then look again, can you see any disorder? 3 Then return thy gaze again, and again, and thy gaze comes back to thee dazzled, aweary. 4 We have adorned the lower heaven with lamps, and We made them a stoning for the satans, We have prepared the punishment of the Blaze for them. 5 And for those who disbelieve in their Lord (Allah) is the torment of Hell, and worst indeed is that destination. 6 When they are thrown into hell, they will hear its roaring while it boils. 7 As if about to explode with rage; whenever a group is thrown into it, the guardians of hell will ask them, “Did not a Herald of Warning come to you?” 8 They will say: “Yes, a warner came to us, but we gave the lie to him and said: 'Allah has revealed nothing. You are surely in huge error.' 9 They will say, "If we had only listened or understood, we should not now be among the inmates of Hell," 10 They will confess to their sins, but the dwellers of hell will be far away from God's (mercy). 11 As for those who fear their Lord unseen, for them is Forgiveness and a great Reward. 12 And keep your opinion secret or proclaim it, lo! He is Knower of all that is in the breasts (of men). 13 Can He who has created not know (His creation)? He is all-penetrating, all-aware. 14
