Al-Taareq
The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By oath of the heaven, and by oath of the nightly arriver. 1 And what shall make thee know that which the night-comer is? 2 (It is) the piercing star. 3 No soul is there but hath over it a watcher. 4 So man must consider from what he has been created. 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 Proceeding from between the back-bone and the ribs, 7 Surely He (the Creator) has the power to bring him back (to life). 8 On the day when hidden things shall be made manifest, 9 Then will (man) have no power, nor any helper. 10 By the heaven which giveth the returning rain, 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 this (Qur'an) is surely a decisive Word, 13 and is no idle tale. 14 They are hatching up a plot, 15 But I too am devising a plan. 16 so bear with those who deny the truth, and let them be for a little while. 17
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
