The Snatchers (Al-Naze'aat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By those who drag forth to destruction, 1 and gently take it away; 2 And who glide with ease. 3 by those that outstrip them suddenly, 4 and thus they fulfil the [Creator's] behest! 5 The day on which the quaking one shall quake, 6 and the second blast follows it, 7 hearts will throb on that Day 8 While eyes are downcast 9 They say (now): "What! shall we indeed be returned to (our) former state? 10 "What! - when we shall have become rotten bones?" 11 They say: "Then this returning will be a dead loss." 12 So that is not but a single shout. 13 and behold, they are awakened. 14 Has the story of Moses come to you 15 When his Lord called him in the sacred valley of Tuwa, 16 saying 'Go to Pharaoh, he has become exceedingly insolent, 17 and say, 'Will you reform yourself? 18 that I might guide you to your Lord, so that you fear (Him)." 19 So he showed him the mighty sign. 20 But [Fir'aun (Pharaoh)] belied and disobeyed; 21 Then he went back hastily. 22 Then he gathered and cried aloud, 23 and proclaimed, and he said, 'I am your Lord, the Most High!' 24 Thereupon Allah seized him for the chastisement of the World to Come as well as of the present. 25 Verily, in this is an instructive admonition for whosoever fears Allah. 26
