Al-Aadeyaat
The Galloppers (Al-Aadeyaat)
11 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Afternoon (Al-'Asr) before Bounty (Al-Kawthar)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By oath of those that sprint, breathing heavily. (The horses used in Holy War.) 1 sparks of fire striking, 2 And the chargers at dawn, 3 Then thereby raise dust, 4 Cleaving, as one, the centre (of the foe), 5 Indeed mankind, to his Lord, is ungrateful. 6 And lo! he is a witness unto that; 7 And indeed he loves wealth to the extreme. 8 ۞ But does he not know that [on the Last Day,] when all that is in the graves is raised and brought out, 9 and that which is in the chest is brought out, 10 Most surely their Lord that day shall be fully aware of them. 11
God the Almighty always says the truth.
