The Comet (Al-Taareq)
17 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Town (Al-Balad) before The Moon (Al-Qamar)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the heaven and the night-comer 1 And what will make you to know what At-Tariq (night-comer) is? 2 It is the piercing star. 3 There is not a soul but over it is a keeper. 4 LET MAN, then, observe out of what he has been created: 5 He is created from a water gushing forth. 6 issuing from between the backbone and the breastbone: 7 He certainly has the power to bring him back to life. 8 on the Day when all secrets will be laid bare, 9 he shall have no power, and no helper. 10 By oath of the sky from which comes down the rain. 11 And the earth which splits (with the growth of trees and plants), 12 Verily, it is a discourse distinguishing. 13 And it is not a frivolity. 14 Behold, they [who refuse to accept it] devise many a false argument [to disprove its truth]; 15 and I am devising guile. 16 Therefore give them some respite give them some time. 17
Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
